About Athlete Framework
High performance in elite sport exists at the intersection of art and science. It demands not only an understanding of biomechanics, physiology, and data—but the ability to apply those principles with precision, context, and feel.
Within professional sport environments, performance systems are built to enhance athletic output, reduce injury risk, and translate complex information into actionable solutions for athletes and practitioners. At the highest level, success is not driven by access to information—but by the ability to filter, contextualize, and apply it with intent.
Athlete Framework was built on that belief.
In an era where information is abundant, the real challenge is not access—but clarity. Too often, practitioners are left navigating noise without a structured way to connect theory to practice. Athlete Framework exists to bridge that gap by integrating the art and science of performance into clear, practical models that can be applied in any environment.
At its core, Athlete Framework is about simplifying complexity without losing depth. It is about turning principles into practice, observation into intervention, and knowledge into meaningful outcomes.
Whether through writing, visual systems, or applied performance work, the mission remains the same: to provide coaches and practitioners with tools that enhance how they see, understand, and ultimately develop athletes.

About Daniel
Daniel Bove is a performance leader in professional sport, currently working within the National Hockey League (NHL). His career has spanned elite environments across both the NBA and NHL, where he has contributed to the development of integrated systems that support athlete health, durability, and performance.
He previously served as a Vice President of High Performance at the NBA level and spent over a decade working within the NBA in performance, sports science, and strength and conditioning roles. Across these experiences, his work has centered on bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance—ensuring athletes not only return to play, but return at a high level.
Bove is the founder of Athlete Framework, a platform dedicated to advancing how coaches and practitioners understand and apply principles of athletic performance. His work emphasizes the integration of science and coaching practice, with a particular focus on system integration and biomechanics.
He is also the author of Takeoff: A Visual Guide to Training and Monitoring Lower Body Power and The Quadrant System: Navigating Stress in Team Sport, where visual systems and applied science are combined to create practical resources for coaches working in high-performance environments.
