From Guessing to Seeing...

Speed takes many forms. Athletes accelerate, decelerate, change direction, shuffle, turn, and redirect momentum hundreds of times throughout competition. Redirect was created to slow movement down and reveal the patterns beneath it.

Wide_Far_edited.jpg

Redirect combines physics, biomechanics, movement analysis, and practical coaching application into a visual guide for understanding multi-directional speed.

Created for coaches and practitioners across performance, rehabilitation, and skill development.

Designed to be studied.

Referenced.

Applied.

More than anything, Redirect is an invitation to see movement differently.

To transform what can initially feel fast and chaotic into something more organized and understandable.

To recognize patterns.

To uncover details.

To develop a deeper understanding of movement.

Blur to Blueprint...

Lateral Shuffle_edited.png

There’s a psychological tool called a Rorschach test.

A person is shown a series of inkblots and asked a simple question:

What do you see?

There is no single correct answer. The purpose isn’t the image itself—it’s what the viewer projects onto it. Their interpretation reflects how they process and organize information.

In many ways, I believe coaching often begins the same way.

Early in our careers, movement can look like an inkblot. We watch athletes accelerate, decelerate, cut, shuffle, and change direction, yet much of what we're seeing can feel like little more than a blur.

We know something is happening.

We know some athletes move more efficiently, more explosively, or with greater control.

But we cannot always identify why.

Over time, experience changes what we see.

The blur begins to organize itself.

Patterns emerge.

Eventually movement becomes more than movement—it becomes a biomechanical blueprint.

Redirect was created to accelerate that process.

Watch the story, below...

What's Inside Redirect?

Redirect is organized to take coaches and practitioners from foundational principles to practical application. Beginning with the physics and mechanics that govern movement, the book gradually builds toward the patterns and strategies that define multi-directional speed.

PATTERNS

Recurring movement patterns found in sport

PATTERNS EXPLORED:

Acceleration

Max Velocity

Deceleration

Change of Direction

Lateral Shuffle

Hip Turn

Curvilinear Running

Backpedal

180° Transition

Some patterns involve the creation of momentum. Some involve the reduction of it. Some involve both.

More than a Book...

VUEMOTION VIDEOS

Redirect wasn't designed to exist only on a shelf.

It was designed as an interactive learning system.  This book allows readers to reinforce complex concepts with high-quality video.

INTERVENTIONS

Perspective from Industry Leaders

Redirect was designed not only to present my perspective, but also to incorporate the voices and experiences of coaches and practitioners who have helped shape the field of athletic performance. Throughout the book, select chapters conclude with expert commentaries that provide additional insights, practical perspectives, and deeper discussion around key concepts.

These contributions add another layer to the learning experience—connecting science, coaching experience, and real-world application.
